'Desde hace 5 años,APERTURA es la cita que marca el inicio del curso en septiembre. Un fin de semana en el que más de 40 galerías de arte inauguran, a la vez, ampliando horarios y programando actividades especiales. Paralelamente, con la complicidad de instituciones (Museo Reina Sofía, ARCO, Centro Dos de Mayo,…) y coleccionistas privados –que abren sus colecciones al público–, se desarrolla un amplio programa de actividades para acercar la creación más actual al gran público.... '

'Since 5 years ago, APERTURA, is the event that marks the begining of the season in september. Over an entrie weekend, more than 40 art galleries coordinate their opening simultanously, and extend their opening hours and organise special programs. The iniciative has the backing and complicity of Institutions (such as the Reina Sofia, ARCO, Dos de Mayo Centre) and private collectors, that open their collections to the public, developing a wide program of activities to bring the most contemporary production to the general public.'
