Jesús Alcaide (Córdoba, 1977) es crítico de arte y comisario independiente. Desarrolla sus investigaciones y trabajos curatoriales en diferentes territorios de las prácticas artísticas contemporáneas. Entre las exposiciones y proyectos que ha comisariado destacan Rock My Illusion (Fundación Botí de Artes Plásticas, 2007), Traslaciones (Excmo Ayuntamiento de Córdoba, 2009), Desdibujados (Fundación Botí de Artes Plásticas, 2009), Contratiempo ( Diputación de Córdoba-Villa romana de El Ruedo, 2010),  Dutch Play: Nuevos lenguajes audiovisuales en la colección del Netherlands Media Art Institute ( I+CAS, 2010), Mario Montez. It’s Wonderful (El Palomar, 2014), Los nombres del Padre ( Centro de arte Pepe Espaliú, 2013), Sub/versos (Fundación Gala, 2014) , Agustín Parejo School  (CAAC, 2016) y Disfonías (Centro Párraga, 2016).

 

 

Entre el 2010 y 2011 dirigió el I+Cas . Centro experimental y Tecnológico para la Cultura y las Artes de Sevilla. También ha sido el director artístico  de proyectos como Hipertexto (2006-2009) y Textropías (2011), sobre las transformaciones de la creación literaria a partir de las interferencias de los nuevos dispositivos tecnológicos de producción de texto, imagen y sonido, así como co-director del encuentro Jaque a la institución que tuvo lugar en Agosto del 2015 en Baeza organizado por la Universidad Internacional de Andalucía.

 

 

Desde hace varios años viene realizando diversas investigaciones en torno a la obra de Pepe Espaliú, que han sido materializadas en publicaciones como Los nombres del padre. En torno a Pepe Espaliú (Brumaria, 2015). Entre 2014 y 2016 ha sido co-director del espacio de creación independiente COMBO.

It’s Wonderful (El Palomar, 2014), Los nombres del padre(The names of the father) at the art centre Pepe Espaliú, 2013), Sub/verses (Foundation Gala, 2014), Agustin Parejo School (CAAC, 2016) and CROSSTALKS (Centro Parraga, 2016).

 

Between 2010 and 2011, he directed the I +Cas. Experimental and technological centre for culture and the arts of Seville. He has also been artistic director of projects such as Hypertext (2006-2009) and Textropias (2011), on the transformation of literary creation from the interference of the new technological devices for the production of text, image and sound, as well as co-director of the meeting Check mate to the institutions that took place in August of the year 2015 in Baeza, organized by the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía.

 

For several years he has been conducting different investigations about the work of Pepe Espaliú, that have been materialized in publications such as Los nombres del padre(The names of the father). Around Pepe Espaliú (Brumaria, 2015). Between 2014 and 2016 has been co-director of the independent creative space COMBO.
