'Tengo un enfoque poético en la producción artística. Empiezo jugando con términos, conceptos y convencionalismos preexistentes para luego convertirlos en imágenes-objetos-arte. Una metáfora simple seria jugar con los elementos constituyentes de una frase para cambiar completamente su significado con una combinación inesperada. Con humor pero al mismo tiempo intrigante. No estoy confinada a una sola disciplina y el uso de objetos en mis instalaciones es para ilustrar mi interés por la semántica material, Uso una gran variedad de materiales y procesos cuando creo los objetos que uso. Las combinaciones de estos elementos, los procedimientos de creación así como su distribución final en el espacio de la instalación se encaminan a crear una escenografía inesperada, un nuevo entorno.

 

Mi fin es cuestionar ' lo espiritual' a través de 'lo material', enfatizar como en nuestra sociedad capitalista, los espacios de crítica y de elevación espiritual han sido apropiados, ignorados o asimilados por la cultura de masa. Este proceso incluye la capitalización del arte, un espacio para el pensamiento crítico que se constituye como parte de la industria del entretenimiento, legitimado por una  historia del arte que suprime la subjetividad'

'I have a poetical approach to art-making. I start by playing with preexistent terms, concepts and conventionalisms to later translate them into images-objects- art. A simple metaphor would be messing with the elements from one sentence to then completely change the meaning into an unexpected combination; a humorous but nonetheless uncanny one.  I'm not fixed to one discipline, the use of objects in my installations is to illustrate my concern with material semantics. I use a broad range of materials and processes in creating the objects I use. The combinations of these elements, processes and how they are arranged in the space are toward the end of creating unexpected scenography; new environments.

My aim is to question spirituality through materiality, to highlight how in our capitalist society spaces for critical thinking, to elevate the spirit, have been appropriated, ignored or assimilated by mass culture. This process includes the capitalization of art, a space for critical thinking becomes part of the entertainment industry supported by a art history that constricts subjectivity'
