Contra la luz, la representación del lugar adquiere la condición de secuencia cromática que todo paisaje cultural contiene. El trabajo de _marina_morón explora los diferentes límites de la percepción, sus fronteras, cuando ya no es el color la referencia de la realidad, cuando la luz es pregunta y no seguridad. El contraste de la forma, de lo comprensible, dibuja un horizonte mucho más complejo, sólo descifrable a través de una caligrafía de los sentidos. La imagen es un alfabeto, y contiene una gramática y sintaxis propia que encaja mal en la simplicidad de las generalizaciones y los estereotipos. La arquitectura es una abstracción construida a partir de la naturaleza. Es únicamente una intermediación de la luz. Sus fotografías nos sitúan específicamente fuera de lecturas historicistas. La exclusión deliberada de señales reconocibles no es un gesto vano, o ahistoricista porque lo que se propone es una relación entre la "experiencia del lugar" y las enigmáticas estructuras fotografiadas. Se coloca al espectador ante un paisaje cuya dimensión espacial es deliberadamente casi plana. Si estas fotos albergan una historia, es una historia sobre la profunda transformación del paisaje urbano. No se trata de fórmulas que se puedan aceptar o no, no se trata de una decisión arbitraria.
Jesús Marina, doctor en Historia y profesor titular de la Universidad de Granada y Elena Morón, Arquitecta por la UPM, profesora asistente honoraria de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla, forman el equipo artístico _marina_moron. Su publicaciones más destacadas son: A_Chroma (2012) (finalista PhotoEspaña 2013, expuesto en MNCARS), Sintagmas cromáticos (2012), Tras el muro blanco (2010). Against the light, representation of the place acquires the status of chromatic sequence that all cultural landscape contains. Image explores the varying limits of perception, presents as border character, when color no longer as the real reference, when light is question and not security. Contrast of the form, draws a complex, only decipherable horizon for a new calligraphy of the senses. The image is a complex language alphabet, grammar and own syntax that fits poorly in the simplicity of generalizations and stereotypes. Architecture is an abstraction constructed from nature. It is an intermediary of light. Photographs situate us specifically in relation to something that remains off the map of historicist readings. The deliberate exclusion of markers in these pictures is not an irresponsible, vain, or ahistoricist gesture. These images point to a link between the “experience of place” and the enigmatic structure. We place the viewer before a landscape whose spatial dimension is on the verge of collapsing into a flat abstraction. If these pictures harbor a story, it is a story about the transformation of the depth of the urban landscape. In that regard, images is not a formula that can accept or reject, does not depend on detailed or arbitrary decision.
