No fotografío porque quiera describir lo real sino porque intento descubrir. El espacio empieza porque miramos más allá de donde estamos, más allá de nosotros.
Lo que siempre me atrae es la noción de paradoja. Siempre me ha interesado más cómo construimos nosotros la realidad que la realidad en si misma. La fotografía me hace plantearme muchas cosas sobre lo qué es real y lo qué no.
Opino que el cómo es normalmente más importante que el qué, ya que indica una posición. Desde algo concreto, podemos ver cómo funciona un mundo. Pienso que la fotografía muestra la apariencia de las cosas pero no la traduce. La mirada no supone tan sólo cómo vemos el mundo, sino cómo lo comprendemos.
Para mi la fotografía habla de ideas, de capas semánticas de significado que uno incluye. Comparto los interrogantes, la incertidumbre. Utilizo la fotografía como instrumento para reflexionar sobre la naturaleza del ser social y del ser individual. Con ella construimos una visión sobre quiénes somos. La voluntad es encontrar correspondencias emocionales, generar una horizontalidad con el mundo que se está fotografiando, como afirma Serge Tisseron tener una asimilación psíquica del mundo.
Toda observación contiene al observador, es decir no hay una observación al margen del fotógrafo. Tal como afirma Víctor Erice: Ver es dejarse ver.

I don't take pictures because I want to describe reality but because I try to discover it. The space is initiated because we look beyond where we are, beyond us.
What always interests me is the notion of paradox. I have always been more interested in how we build reality than in reality itself. Photography lets me wonder a lot on what is real and what is not.
I think that the how is usually more important than the what, as it indicates a position towards the world; where I photograph from, what is my relationship with photography, etc.
From something concrete, we can see how a world operates. I think photography shows the appearance of things but doesn't translate it.
To me, photography talks about ideas, semantic layers of meaning that we add. I share the questions, the uncertainty.Photography allows me to interact with others and with the world. I use photography as a tool to reflect upon the nature of the social and the individual being. It helps us build a vision of who we are. My will is to find emotional correspondences, to generate horizontality with the world being photographed and, as Serge Tisseron says, to have a psychic assimilation of the world.
Every observation contains the observer, that is to say that there is not an observation outside the photographer. As Victor Erice : 'To see is to allow yourself been seing'

BIOGRAFIA /BIOGRAPHY
Becario artista de La Casa de Velázquez ( Acadèmie de France à Madrid). Vive y trabaja entre Madrid y Nantes (Francia). Realiza talleres con artistas y teóricos como como Martin Parr, Jean François Chevrier, o Joan Fontcuberta.
Es uno de los autores seleccionados para la exposición Contexto Crítico. Fotografía española del s. XXI, comisariada por Museology, en Tabacalera (Madrid), para finales de 2013. Está incluido asimismo como autor en el libro Diccionario de fotógrafos españoles: del s.XIX al XXI que La Fábrica editorial presenta en 2014. En mayo de 2014 participa en la exposición NEW SPANISH PHOTOGRAPHY_Visions beyond borders que tiene lugar en Nueva York.
Ha participado en el prestigioso programa internacional Plat(t)form 2013, comisariado por el Fotomuseum Winterthur ( Suiza). Seleccionado en el proyecto Austro Sino Arts Program exhibition 2012 (Beijing, China), su trabajo se presenta en Bienales como Fotoseptiembre 2011 (CCEMEX. Mexico D.F), Fotonoviembre 2011( Fundación Mapfre, Tenerife), la Bienal de Casablanca 2012 y la V Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo Fundación ONCE.
Presenta además su trabajo en exposiciones individuales en Festivales como Paraty Em Foco 2013 ( Brasil) comisariada por Claudi Carreras, en el Festival Internacional de fotografía y Artes Visuales Photoespaña 2013, PalmaPhoto 2013 (Palma de Mallorca), en espacios como MataderoMadrid comisariado por Pablo Berastegui, el IAACC Pablo Serrano y de forma colectiva en lugares como Getty Gallery ( Londres), La Casa Encendida de Madrid bajo el comisariado de Oliva María Rubio y el Festival Encontros Da Imagem 2012( Braga, Portugal) comisariado por Rui Prata. También en Ferias Internacionales de arte contemporáneo como Pulse Miami 2015, Summa 2014, Just Mad 2014, Arte Santander 2014 , Foro Sur 2014, Estampa 2013 y Swab 2013.
Entre otros su trabajo ha sido premiado en Generaciones Caja Madrid 2011, en el Festival Internacional de Artes Visuales Emergent 2010, Premio OCEMX 2011 (Mexico D.F), Premio Foto-reportaje ARCO 2010 y medalla de Oro en el Prix PX3 2012 ( París, Francia), Premio Santa Isabel de Portugal de Fotografía (autor joven) 2008, Mención de honor en 2012 IPA Competition (Lucie Foundation, NYC) y finalista en certámenes como Fundación AENA 2012 y Descubrimientos Photoespaña 2011.
Ha recibido becas como la de la Fundación Santa María de Albarracín de fotografía 2010, la del Encontro de Artistas Novos Cidade Da Cultura 2011 o la beca del Istituto Europeo di Design para cursar el Master Europeo de fotografía de autor en 2013.
Ha publicado en revistas especializadas como OjodePez, EXIT, EFE24 y 30y3 Spanish Photography y
compagina su trabajo personal con el profesional (ha recibido encargos de la feria de arte contemporáneo ARCOmadrid, Instituto Cervantes, foto-fija en largometrajes y documentales, fotógrafo oficial del Festival du Cinéma Espagnol de Nantes, Filmoteca Vasca, Erretres, M le magazine du Monde..).
Está representado actualmente por las galerías La New Gallery (Madrid) , Addaya Art Contemporani (Mallorca), Carolina Rojo ( Zaragoza) , La Carbonería ( Huesca) , la Galerie Confluences ( Nantes) y la Galerie JeanMichel Jagot (Chalon-sur-Saône, Bourgogne), por Matadero Madrid y por la agencia internacional Plainpicture con sedes en New York, París, Londres y Hamburgo.
Su obra se encuentra presente en colecciones privadas y públicas como la Colección DKW y la Fundación Buñuel.

BIOGRAPHY
Fellow artist of La Casa de Velázquez (Acadèmie de France à Madrid). Lives and works in Madrid and Nantes (France). Attends workshops with artists and theorists such as Martin Parr, Jean François Chevrier and Joan Fontcuberta.
He is one of the authors selected for the exhibition Contexto Crítico. Spanish Photography of the XXI century, curated by Museology in Tabacalera (Madrid), opening in December 2013. He is also included in the book “The A-Z of Spanish Photographers ”about Spanish photography that La Fábrica publishing house has recently published in 2014.He is also one of the ten spanish photographers who exhibited in 2014 in New York in the NEW SPANISH PHOTOGRAPHY_Visions beyond borders in the main hall of King Juan Carlos I Center of New York University.
He has participated in the prestigious international program Plat(t)form 2013, curated by the Fotomuseum Winterthur (Switzerland). Selected in the Austro Sino Arts Program project exhibition 2012 (Beijing, China), his work is shown in Biennials such as Fotoseptiembre 2011 (CCEMEX. Mexico D.F), Fotonoviembre 2011 (Mapfre Foundation, Tenerife), the Casablanca Biennale 2012 and the 5th Contemporary Art Biennale ONCE Foundation.

He has published in specialized journals such as EXIT, OjodePez, EFE24 and 30y3 Spanish Photography and combines his personal and professional work (he has received commissions from the ARCO contemporary art fair and the Instituto Cervantes and works as stage photographer in feature films and documentaries. He has been the official photographer of the Nantes Festival du Cinema Espagnol, the Basque Film Library, Erretres, M le magazine du Monde, Eñe,..etc.).He is currently represented by The New Gallery (Madrid), Addaya Art Contemporani (Mallorca) , La Carboneria (Huesca), Carolina Rojo art Gallery ( Zaragoza), Confluences Gallery ( Nantes.
