Gala Knörr es una artista multidisciplinar que ha trabajado en los distintos campos de la pintura, fotografía y vídeo, y ha expuesto su obra internacionalmente. Su práctica artística explora la intersección de la tecnología y la identidad dentro de la sociedad contemporánea. Se graduó con un MA Fine Arts en Central Saint Martins y está licenciada con un BFA Fine Arts por la Parsons School of Design de París. Ha realizado residencias artísticas en Cité Internationale des Arts en Paris, Francia (2015), La Térmica Centro de Cultura Contemporánea en Málaga, España (2016), Fundación Bilbaoarte Fundazioa en Bilbao, España (2016-2017), y en The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum en New York, Estados Unidos (2017).

Gala ha recibido becas y distinciones internacionalmente entre las que se incluyen Emergencias 2.0 La Casa Encendida en Madrid (2010); seleccionada para el The Columbia Threadneedle Prize en Mall Galleries en Londres, Reino Unido (2014); finalista del Premi Miquel Casablancas en Sant Andreu Contemporani en Barcelona, España (2017), la beca Basque Artist Program del Museo Guggenheim Bilbao (2017), y más recientemente la beca de investigación artística Cultura Resident del Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Ha trabajado como educadora en Saatchi Gallery, y también ha apoyado diferentes campañas activistas dirigidas por Maximilla Lukacs y The Department of Peace para la campaña 'Earth Day' de la Rainforest Alliance en 2013, y la campaña de Joan Jett en 2014 para la sensibilización sobre la desigualdad salarial y la salud de la mujer. Su proyecto comisarial 'Journey to the Center of My Mind' fue invitado a celebrarse en el Historical Monument #157 de Los Angeles en 2012, reuniendo mujeres artistas y músicos internacionales de Los Angeles, una segunda edición del proyecto fue presentada en Madrid en 2013.

Gala Knörr is a multidisciplinary artist who has worked in painting, photography and video, and exhibited her work internationally.
