Eduardo Balanza

Eduardo Balanza (Murcia, 1971) Graduado en medios visuales en España, estudió Cine Documental y Guión cinematográfico en la prestigiosa Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de La Habana, Cuba 1992-1993. Fue a los EEUU cursando diferentes talleres en la School of Visual Arts de Nueva York en 1999. Representado desde 2003 por la galería T20, ha estado desarrollando proyectos multidisciplinares tomando la identidad y la música como punto de partida para rodar videos, instalaciones, libros de artista, fotografías y esculturas. Ha expuesto en el Museo de arte contemporáneo Kiasma Helsinky, La Conservera Murcia, Bethanien Kunst Raum Berlin, Galería Nacho Valle Valencia, Galería T20 Murcia y asistido invitado a festivales como Benicassim, SOS o Escena Contemporánea Madrid. Desde el año 2008 alterna su residencia entre España y Alemania, trabajando con compañías de teatro. Su último trabajo se ha desarrolldo con Vegard Vinge e Ida Müller en el Volksbühne de Berlin en su peculiar y polémica saga sobre Ibsen. La última exposición individual la hizo en febrero 2014 en la Fundación Mustang, Elche.

Eduardo Balanza (Murcia, 1971) Graduated Audio video studies in Spain, has studied Documental Cinema and Film scripting at the prestigious' Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión' in La Habana, Cuba during 1992-1993. He has lived in the USA where he has participated in several workshops at the School of Visual Arts of New York in 1999. He is represented since 2003 by the T20 gallery , and has developed multidisciplinary projects using identity and music as departure points for the filming of videos, installations, artists books, photography ans sculptures. He has exhibited at the  Kiasma Museum for contemporary art in  Helsinky, La Conservera Murcia, Bethanien Kunst Raum Berlin,Nacho Valle gallery Valencia, T20 gallery Murcia and has participated in festivals like Benicassim, SOS o Escena Contemporánea Madrid. Since 2008 he lives between Spain and Germany, and collaborates with theater companies. His last piece was developed in collaboration with Vegar Vinge e Ida Müller at the Volksbühne de Berlin his is particuar and polemic saga about Ibsen. His last solo show was in february 2014 at la Fundación Mustang, Elche.
